Pattern Manager has had an update! v0.9.0 brings some great improvements to app functionality and pattern navigation. Lets take a look!
Project View

Pattern instructions are no longer displayed in one long list with collapsible headings. Each pattern ‘component’ is now shown individually with a sidebar for easy navigation with ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons at the end of each section.

The toolbar will now appear whenever you scroll up, meaning that the sidebar is easily accessible, as is the ‘notes’ feature, colour changer and other app tools.

Auto show next instruction
When opening a project in progress you will be automatically taken to the next instruction to be worked. No more having to scroll through previously worked instructions to find your place again!
Additionally, project progress reporting (% completed) is now much more accurate.
Better repeat distinction and navigation
Pattern repeats are now better defined with the addition of navigation buttons at the start and end of a repeat.
The new navigation buttons allow you to easily scroll back to the start of a repeat from the end or down to the next instruction to be worked. If all instructions are complete in the repeat the top navigation button will take you to the end of the repeat.
These buttons are particularly useful when you encounter repeats with a lot of instructions as they save you having to manually scroll back to the top after each repeat is complete to increment the counter and start again. Similarly when you have worked all repeats you can now easily scroll to the end of the repeat to carry on with the rest of the pattern.

An ‘always on’ screen

Your screen will now stay on whilst viewing a project. This is particularly helpful when reading long strings of instructions or trying to follow a lengthy chart row. Of course you can manually use the power button on your device to put it to sleep and wake it again as required.
